This penny has part of a zero laying sideways under the first zero in the date. I can't seem to find any information on this coin. Someone steer me in the right direction. LOL

Pics a bit out of focus, but it just looks like damage IMO. Appears that something hit hard enough to make a deep impression and move the metal around it to look like a "0".

PMD. Have you got a Redbook yet? If so there’s some companion books on errors and such that are helping me. Keep looking 👍🏼

Looks like a hit. PMD.
It's NOT part of a zero. It's just damage.

Still PMD, though I wouldn't consider 2009's memorials.

That's one nasty hit on the rim.

The reason you cannot find any information on this is because your coin is just damaged.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Even with the picture turned sideways, same results. A hit, damaged.

Indeed - a circulation hit moving metal along with the copper plating. I'm surprised the plating didn't fracture.

Me too.
I opened ths thread because I was wondering if THAT was the error.
And the reverse ?
It could be a satin finish 95% copper that ended up in circulation.

@Bamaphil ... Definitely PMD.... Excellent pictures that allow us to accurately determine the issue. Cheers, RickO
