5 digit penny

I have search everywhere, this does not exist, but I have one, it's a 1983 Lincoln penny. The year 19883! Priceless?

You are correct. This does not exist. You have a normal 1983 cent.

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.

@cah608 ... Welcome aboard. Looks like a corrosion blister or planchet defect... Not a mint error. No numismatic premium.
    Cheers, RickO
