Let's see some Machine Doubled Coins. I know there are some wild ones out there.

We have had so many MD coins on this forum and quite a few were quite drastic. Let's see what you've got. I'll start off with a 2020 D Jeff with reverse MD.

    These are what drive new to the hobbyist's(word?) crazy and it's easy to understand without the education they get here and other places, if they are lucky.
    @DelawareDoons That Mercury Dime is freaky.
    Here's another Jefferson Nickel.

    Love to show this coin as it shows how fickle machine or strike doubling can be. Very obvious on some elements yet missing on others.

    Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

    I've got 6 or 7 of the 1957 D's that look like they came out the same day, hell minute :)

    Not sure if you caught it, but that Merc is a 42/1-D.

    I meant this one:) the other has an extra chip in the 5

    @DelawareDoons
    Reason for freaky. I first thought it wasn't until I coinfacted it. Only had one of those and it was 42/1 not a D. Nice coin.

    1912D - machine doubling is most noticeable from the MM clockwise through United.

    On the contrary, Google is not your friend.

    Some great examples of machine doubling here... Should help a lot of new collectors. Cheers, RickO

  • Here is a pic of a heavily doubled 1916 5C. Is it possibly the real mc coy?

  • Regarding above 1916 5c post - Sorry about the small, unclear photo.
