I bought a really nice Morgan today

I've owned a bunch of these in the past. I have had some in high grade but this one seems pretty special. Very original coin.
At least it is to me.
I have no idea what is going on with the right side of the laurel wreath into the U.
I cannot find one mark on this cheek.
It's got that chalky kind of look but not even a small ding. Plus it's got the coolest die cracks.
The one that runs below the cameo looked like a scratch at first but it's not. Is a long die crack.
I wanted to put it up to share it.

The light is washing it out, but that looks like an interesting Morgan. Maybe some of the VAM experts will chime in.
Looks like it might be a Vam 3X

I concur...nice pickup!

That is one super clean '21 Morgan. What really stands out to me is that strike! Do you plan on submitting it for grading? If so, I think it would be a 65 at least.

I’m in the 64 realm based on those images, but it definitely looks like a hammered strike. The die cracks are fun, nice pickup!

I have a 65 and honestly it's cleaner.

It looks nicer than this.
I’m in the MS64 camp, as well, due mostly to the marks on Liberty’s face and beneath the eagle’s left-facing wing.

I appreciate it guys.

I'm going to submit it to PCGS and get it slabbed.
Pretty good pickup for $40.
I also got this one for $35.
Nice die clash on the reverse.
Similar to the alligator ete 1887.
Excellent price for these!!! Sharp strikes - let us know what you get for grades!
I think the value in that '21 Morgan comes from its strike and eye appeal. Finding a really nice '21 Morgan is probably harder than finding one with die cracks, which in my experience command little or no premium unless they are late die states where the cracks have progressed to actual breaks. Yours appears to be an earlier state, because the star cracks have not become a break yet.
If I'm being honest I think that will be a waste of funds, I do not see it grading better than 64 and 63 is a real possibility. In your op you said, "I cannot find one mark on this cheek.", I see lots of marks on the cheek and some pretty heavy marks on the rev under the wings. I hope I'm wrong and it comes back with a high grade, but I just don't see that happening from these photos. It is a really nice strike with good luster, best of luck and please update with your results.

I love the die cracks that you can find on these 21's. I also think the Obv is a nice 64 but think the reverse is gonna hold it back to a 63. Jmo

Definitely a nicely struck 1921 Morgan, probably a 63+ to 64+ range, depending on the luster and how the marks on the cheek look in-hand. If you love it, submit it! Good luck and let us know your decision...

The die cracks are really why I posted it.

I'm going to submit it because I believe it will 65 or better.
If this can 67 I think this can 65 or better.
Nothing like a big silver dollar in near Gem.

"I think this can 65 or better."
The reverse alone will hold it back from a 65.
It's gets pretty confusing.

I wanted to show these nice die cracks but now we are discussing grading.
I actually think this is a good thing.
I don't mind when a conversation evolves. It makes for good discussion.
Now you have me wondering what these coins grade.
@Watchtower... The coin in the OP is nicely struck and a good price... However, I think it is max a 64... a lot of chatter on the cheek. Neat die cracks. Would need better pictures of the last ones you posted... though the first two do not look worth submitting. Cheers, RickO
