Panama California Exposition medal

I picked up the attached medal in a recent auction. I think it's a HK427.
I really like it. Don't have any idea what it's worth. can someone help me with the value?
Thanks Bill

I was watching that one. I can't tell from the pictures if it's bronze or gilt. The surfaces look dull with some spots. If gilt, it's unusual for this variety to have gilt that is intact at the high points as this seems to have. There's a decent chance that it's nicer in hand than the pictures show.
Recent sales at Stack's Bowers and Heritage have been in the $50-$200 range for slabbed specimens.

I'd say it's worth what you paid at the auction.
there were three other similar coins/medals from the Panama Canal on the same auction. Did you get those?
Nice. The so-called dollar site has the info and pics.

No, I didn't. The prices were reasonable but not good enough that I cared to get duplicates.
Nice looking medal.... I recall seeing one like that at a coin show in Seattle years ago. Cheers, RickO
