Wyoming Valley Coin Show. 1st day report
Started the day driving from NY to PA
Delightful day for the 3 hour drive and the area around the show is really enjoyable to visit especially if you like casinos as the Mohegan Sun PA is located just a mile down the road…. Anyway the show runs both Sat and Sun so while I usually wait til after a show to report thought some people might still have a chance to visit the show by seeing it before the show ends….
The show is a grand old fashioned coin club show held in a large auditorium gym space with plenty of room for what amounts to about 50-60 tables
There is a good mix of dealers with a wide range of material but most is what one would call middle of the road….meaning not junk but not high end… pretty much topping out at 5k per coin. Nothing on the floor was super rare or knock your socks off but still plenty of truly affordable collector type pieces. Seems that silver bullion in the form of bars coins etc was selling very well.
Kudos to one table holder who displayed this lovely piece
We had a super day purchasing some wonderful new pieces including some great Indian Head Cents that recently were part of an extremely nice collectors collection. It was very nice seeing so many dealers from the NY area that also made the trip and if you are within a few hours of the show I would say it’s definitely worth the trip!
Also a quick shoutout to another show taking place tomorrow in CT Hartford area while smaller another nice show to visit… til next time Happy Collecting

The show was the most crowded I have seen it in years, I had a tough time getting close enough to see everything. Did add a couple large cents to my set, only need 6 more but some of those are the tough ones. Saw a 1799 for $6500 but well beyond my budget unfortunately!
Good to hear at least it's busy, nice report 👍
@ScarsdaleCoin ... Thanks for the interesting report and pictures. That bill display certainly would have taken some time to view... Cheers, RickO
Thanks for your report. Looks like a good crowd.
I live this show and it is near my hometown of Scranton. I usually try to visit home and attend. Unfortunately, I've missed the last couple of shows. but I'll be back.

Nice to see that the Dealers had some Extra room behind their tables most places are Jammed up tight and hard to operate. Thanks for the show report! And pictures.
