What does the V in VDDR stand for?

Pulled a handful of these from a roll...wanted to verify what I found... VDDR-001 Maya.

No one in other forums seems to know, appears to be a newer thing in Variety Vista.
Figured if anyone knew it would be someone here
My guess was maybe short for Variety Coin Register #, VCR# but honestly I have no idea.

I looked out of curiosity. Kind of interesting as you note, new thing(?). I know nothing.
This might have your answer.

James Wiles is no longer cataloging varieties for CONECA, but he is adding varieties he finds to the VarietyVista page using his own cataloging system, which adds a "V" to the beginning of what CONECA might call it. He maintains it in VarietyVista, because that's where everyone goes for the CONECA varieties, anyway, as the information there is far more comprehensive that what CONECA has gotten around to publishing. John Wexler does the same with "WDDO", etc., on his website.
