This is a very fine coin that was locked away for years.
The obverse has doubling on date and letters.
Any thoughts on value?

It weighs 8 grams.
It's right on the back: One Dollar.![;) ;)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
That looks like Machine or Ejection Doubling to me, perhaps with a little die deterioration thrown in.
Is there a known Doubled Die for this date/mm and does this coin match?
I second this. Machine doubling. Adds no value.
Mechanical/ejection, Doubling – very common,no added value.
One dollar.

@Jerry_Oakes... Machine doubling... No numismatic premium. Cheers, RickO
Nice pics, extremely common dollar. Mintage was over 500,000,000. Good example of mechanical doubling....throw it on ebay and you might get a taker at $5. What does the reverse look like?![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
