A nice example of the Blakesley effect.

What kind of premium should this coin bring? I like it...I don't have anything like it in my set.

@RLSnapper... Is this one you are considering for purchase? It is a good example, do you want it for that purpose? Cheers, RickO
@ricko I am considering it for purchase. I don't know the proper valuation of this type of error in this series. Could use some help. Thanks.
@RLSnapper... I cannot advise you on pricing... not an area I am familiar with. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
@seanq knows all about clips. Will probably chime in soon

Another clip, with a subtle, but noticeable Blakesley effect.
I've been following that one too (ends in a few hours).
I'd venture it'll close at $70. give or take and that seems like a good deal.

Did someone light the clip signal?
I also have that one on my watch list, though I had not planned to bid as I have a similar (but larger) straight clip for the date. It is absolutely genuine and shows the error well, plus the coin itself appears problem free, which you cannot often say about large cents or errors from this era.
I think @braddick is pretty close with his estimate on the value. Without seeing the auction, I would have probably given an estimate of $50-75 - knowing how the bidding has progressed so far, I would lean toward the high end of that range.

Nice selection, I was viewing that coin earlier, but will not bid on it. Great luck.

Not to change the subject or hijack your thread @RLSnapper but I'm curious and would like opinions on what may have caused the almost exact image on both the obv and rev of this coin.

Thanks very much for all the help! You guys @braddick and @seanq were right on the money! I won the coin for $76. It will be the start of my side set of Large Cent errors. This particular Ebay seller always has a great variety of Large Cents. I see I am not the only one who keeps an eye on his offerings. Thanks again for your help.
Congratulations, it's a very nice example to build around. Here is a low-resolution picture of my example, I cropped it from a larger photo of my 7070 type set.

Nice score!
Interesting, but a little too modern for my taste 😉. Here’s one I used to own, and an R5 to boot. Reynolds checked it out verified it was an authentic mint error:
