Nice card. I don't have enough experience to guess, but will see what the experts think.
Well, I already see a -2 deduction for the Out of Focus qualifier the back warrants! Seems like it has nice corners, so I'll go with Authentic Altered!!
Looks like an 8 barring any hidden defects 🤔
I agree that it looks like an 8, maybe, although I don't know how all the fisheyes affect the grade. There are two white lines on the front: (1) a long one starting between the S and T in Star running down through the red stripe, and (2) a shorter one starting on the left edge and running about half way towards the white stripe. Are those on the case/scanner or are those on the card itself? If they're on the card and they're wrinkles, then we're down to 3 or 4.
7 - white lines look like scratches and not wrinkles to me. If wrinkles 4. Corners and centering are nice enough that I think it still gets a 7 with the scratches, snow on his hat and print-dot on the o.
I'm going against the curve and say it's a 9!
Impossible to guess accurately without being able examine the surface as it could have any number of indentations or scratches not visible in the photo. So I'll guess a grade anywhere between a 5 and a 9
will post better scans/pics
Here are some better pics/scans...the white line was from the scanner...nice participation so far
8.5
nice

FB & BB HOF Player sets

I go with 9
Was going to go with an 8.5 but saw the ink on the front in red. Guess is a 7.5 but great looking card and eye appeal.
From the scans, it seems to have a nicer back than the PSA 9 that is listed on ebay right now.
Maybe 8 or 9 but with a (PD) qualifier for the off-setting focus/print layers on the front
Red ink on front, multiple fish eyes on front, and yellow is out of registration. I'd say 5.

I think it could earn a 6 if requested as NQ. The 9 for sale has a large pink glaring fisheye but no qualifier on the grade (albeit that it was graded quite a long time ago based on the cert number). 6 NQ = 8 PD
Great card...I'd guess 7 or 7.5
5 mainly bc of the specks in his hat. I always feel I have a 7-8 and it comes back a 5 bc of small white dots
I can’t believe folks still bring up fisheyes in these discussions. There are 9s and 10s up the wazoo with fisheyes all over the place. I don’t know if PSA has an official policy, but they effectively barely penalize them if at all.
Agreed to a point, but in this case it is the registration/focus that would potentially lead to the PD, along with combining the red stripe at the red text line near bottom, plus maybe if the cap is showing print snow (rather than dusty scanner). When I look at other similar 1960 Topps PSA-graded cards that have a PD qualifier, many of those have less significant defects than this example does.
8.5
Kiss me twice.....let's party.
I’m going 6.
Live long, and prosper.
I think it should be an 8 all day.
If I subbed it then I’d expect a 6.
PSA 6. Chaz.
I have one similar, so I'll say 6. Looks great , but new grading system, plaus its Yaz. Could get a 7 PD. Top to bottom centering will knock it to 7.
6
solid 8
8 or 8.5 if grader awoke on the right side of the bed…
Those who guessed a 7 were correct though there where a good number guessing 8+..at any rate it seems like a good card for a review bump...glad to have alot of responses
I agree, with the better scan I would have voted 8. The scratches were not actually on the card which were my biggest factor for a 7. Very nice card.
On the back side of the card the lower right hand corner looks slightly bent . Is that my eyes playing tricks.
CHecked and just the grain in the cardboard...look all the way up from that spot and you see it...the tanned grain of cardboard
Very strong card. Only things bringing it down are some print imperfections and centering. I would have guessed an 8 at first glance.
A better scan reveals fish eyes and a broken red print line thru team name and position...
Nevertheless...a very nice card for the assigned grade!
Well done 7!
(Sorry…I’m a harsh grader).
Live long, and prosper.
I was going to say 7.5 due to the print dots on his cap, Otherwise a strong card.
GREAT CARD. Since they photo each card it will be tough to re-grade. Best of luck.
You mean the review service might cease to exist since because they photo each card...don't quite see the logic of that point yet...it seems that just they would replace the photo
Almost every Yaz rookie has some print imperfections. Thumb through the 8 sales on PSA’s auction prices and this card - and as far as print imperfections go - is in the top half.
Yeah back in the 80's and still to this day is tough to find the Yaz without the black printer ink imperfections on the bottom left of the card (kinda like the 1980 bird/magic rookie)...it is usually pretty pronounced...was nice to find one without the black ink imperfection
I’m guessing 7.

I meant if you crack and re-submit. If you just ask and pay for a review that is different. My mistake .
Great card!
