If you're talking about the date, I can't definitively tell but it looks like machine doubling. Some clearer pics of that area would help.

I don’t know this series very well, but I think that’s part of the design, isn’t it?

I think I see what OP is pointing out on the eye, and ‘In God We Trust’ seems to have something going on as well. Without better photos, I’d lean towards the die deterioration conclusion that @coinbuf proposed.

It does not appear to be a DDO... A lot of glare in the pictures.... Cheers, RickO

It's part of the design as mentioned, I can see it on a 2022 I have.
