I thought this exercise might help to estimate the CAC grade range for Example #2, maybe 62-63.

A really tough call. Don’t know TPG grade either one.

I like no 2 but no 1 seeks nicer bc not toned except for hit on cheek. Otherwise mite prefer no 1 prefer. It comes down to what I think can sell for how procure
    below bid.

Since I don’t know the grade on holder no idea of if either one make CAC. Why leave out at TPG graded on these? Include all data in future if you want analysis. In addition I would want examine under 100 watt light.

Never been a buyer of toned gold coins with toning like that unless discounting offer or auc bid from 10 pct off CDN bid to like 20 pct off of bid. As highly experienced bourse room, online dealer my evaluation on where coins in grade range based on my analysis not some (3rd party) 0r bc they paid that person money. I do think a sticker is good idea on expensive material like that.

64CAC and 65. I prefer the 64 luster looks brighter and the 65 looks like blood stains.

Thanks for recommendation. I did not disclose the grades for a reason that will clarify later.

I suspect the first coin a 62 or 63. Or perhaps a low end 64. Coin no 2 AT? Coin no 2 - Will the tarnish on it get worse time.

I like the looks of #2 better. I like the color and the cleaner cheek. Not good at grading so I'll leave that to more knowledgeable members.

Both look like AU58 to me. No idea on stickers but maybe the bottom coin stickered.

I'm at 58 on both too. Maybe 55 on the second as there seems to be the slightest more rub ... As for cac no clue. These are hard enough to grade in hand. Preference would be &#1. I like the color and apparent luster better.

Example #2 looks AU to me. So I think #1 is graded higher. I like #1 better personally as #2 is a bit splotchy.

As to CAC: I have no clue. It's hard (if not impossible) to say whether CAC stickered it if you don't know what grade PCGS gave it.

Could be the lighting, but ‘11-D no#1 looks a smidge nicer to my eyes.
