That is an extremely nice example of a tough date. I think PCGS is very tight on grading this particular coin, since the RB designation alone would raise the value by 50%, so maybe they are particularly picky on certain dates like this. It doesn't look BN to me either, but that's why we lean on PCGS and others to grade them properly.

I bought the coin from Rick Snow and he said it is a RB coin. In any case it does not matter to me because I love the coin whatever they call it. I had another coin with color similar to this that was graded BN. Resubmitted the coin and it went RB. This 1868 is another coin I let slip away that I should of kept. Here is the true view of it. This coin would have went perfectly with my 1871. It was actually purchased as a NGC BN coin from Rick many moons ago.

Very nice, the BN designation seems to fit just fine.

Here are a pair that I purchased from Rick many years ago, but unfortunately sold. Would love to have them back, but seller's remorse sucks.

Really tough date and it's that nice. I like Indians in brown even more than the red ones, odd, I know. Great coin.
