Is it real? Whats going on between United and miss Liberty's arm on the second strike?

If real its pretty valuable. There are supposedly only 3 known double struck for the entire series.

I'm more drawn to the other side. I need an overlay.

    1. How is it still so round?
    2. How is the "CA" there on the left edge?

It’s some type of damage – hard to tell if it’s solder or just “gunk“

It's strange with that level of novelty that it would've circulated that much. I'm guessing someone kept it in their pocket for years and years to show people.

Need a Barber Half with ANACS photo certificate. If you have one for sale please PM me. Current Ebay auctions

Great error coin. Don't see that many older coins with that large of a double strike. I guess striking 15 million coins vs 1 billion coins today makes far more likely to have this type of errors in a much larger quantity today.

Very cool piece, thanks for sharing.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

It is solder. I didn’t care at all and went after it aggressively.

Find a Double struck seated dime with dates. Probably a once in a generation opportunity.
