It's still fun finding coinage 60 years after issue, especially when theyre minty fresh.
As long as you can understand that you're not sitting on a gold mine, it's cheap enjoyment. These babies were produced in such quantity, and enough of them were saved, that none of us are likely to see a premium in our lifetime.

It always surprises me when I get one of these 60 +/- year old cents in change, and they look like they just came out of a mint roll. Doesn't happen every day, but every six weeks or so.... Cheers, RickO
I have a lot of rolls of cents that I removed from circulation in the 60's when I 1st started collecting coins. A lot of these are close to being uncirculated too.

I know the feeling. I found a 53 S Lincoln in change that would grade MS 65 RD. It was a neat find, but if I sent it in for grading, only the TPG would make any money on it, so it's still in a flip.

I have about 50 of these cents uncirculated and some are Deep red in color
I hate to even say it, but I have like 20 to 25 rolls of them.
I also have rolls of them.
DON'T SAY IT!!.... To late. 👍🏻 🤣

I've got about $100 worth (early 60s) in plastic tubes myself.
Nice! I occasionally find these in the register tills.

All are SMS coins, right? (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

I know they are not that valuable but it was really fun to find them - just thought I’d share
Glad it made your day. I rarely use change anymore but a while back I looked at my change and saw a 1939D nickel in mint condition.
