Is there one "Officially". There is not one listed under Ventris C. Gibson's(current Director of the U.S. Mint) leadership board.

Not sure that an historian, if one even exists, would show up on a list of Mint leadership.
If no one else knows, it might make sense to contact the Mint directly, and inquire.
I don't even think there's a Chief Engraver. If there is, he's probably in computer science. I think everything is done by CAD today.
