1936 Buffalo Nickel doubled die buffalo nickel,, a good one to look for!

Here is a 1936 doubled die obverse buffalo nickel I picked on on flea-bay for only $20. I was the only bidder. It was not described as a doubled die, just a normal run of he mill 1936 buffalo. A good one to look for, not really rare but a very nice variety.
Date looks to be pregnant and this is described as a Class VI variety and is listed in the Cherry pickers guide.

Nice score! FS-101?
Yes it is FS-101. There is another doubled die obverse which is FS-102 that looks similar to 101 but the 9 in the date is not quite as thickened. These two get mixed up quite frequently it seems.

Nice catch and a good price. I opened one of my coin cabinets yesterday, looking for a coin that is presently 'missing'... and saw a drawer of Buffs in 2x2's, and also 'bag' of loose buffs.... Made a mental note to go through them (yeah, right).... Cheers, RickO
That's a good one. I like the how the "1" in the date looks.

Nice find! Looks about 63 or so from here. What would you grade it?
I have searched for these before but the sheer number of 1936 nickels listed made it way too time consuming.

That’s one I rarely look for but seeing how nice yours is I will be looking more frequently. Nice pick up.
