Wheat penny

1917 d wheat penny. It was in a roll of coins that I got from the bank today. The 17s faded but under bright light and tilt the coin just right you can make it out.

Love to see these old workhorses still out there plowing the fields...

They're out there for the finding if you look for them.

Nice old Wheatie.... If you deal in cash a lot, these old cents show up occasionally. I use cash just for the purpose of getting change - At this time, mainly looking for W quarters, but the old cents show up and I save them. Cheers, RickO

Finding a 106 year old cent is exciting even if it has seen more than a little wear and tear.

    All glory is fleeting.
