When was the last sale of a US 1793 Strawberry cent?

Have not seen one in a long long time?
HA last sold one 9 years ago for just under $353 000. That one was PCGS Fair 02.

Wasn't a new find reported here some 10 or 12 years ago?

I thought it was 4 known total. I guess they are in more permanent collections now.

if we are thinking of the same one, it walked into a coin shop and i THINK the seller had some knowledge of it and the shop either gave a handsome price and/or subbed to auction for them. there is definitely a thread(s) here on it.
thanks to yos for doing the legwork.
idk if it is the most recent but 2020 is pretty recent and that is a decent hammer. i wonder how many millions one would sell for in 45 or 62?
also, i'm pretty sure they are not all public examples. i'll call it 85% w/o doing some reading. (some more info came to me and i think there is a big write-up in one of the catalogs for Dan Holmes' sale around 08/09 and some excerpt about the "top dogs" in EAC getting all examples together including 1" from a museum for confirmation of their authenticity)
another lengthy write-up besides the CF link posted above.

just to put it somewhere. i finally haphazardly made my way through the ANS search feature(s) to come up with this:
2 examples

a goldberg auction lists an electroplate copy. it is virtually indistinguishable from the original. WHAT! (if you ever compare the 2, comment here or somewhere what you think about discernible differences, if any)

Here is the story from 2004 about the strawberry leaf cent surfacing at a coin shop in Auburn Maine
Ah yes, I remember that story now.
That was not a cheap coin, even in 1941!
