Coins delivered today, but with a twist. Have you ever experienced this before with a submission?

On last Friday morning my "Order Details" information showed that PCGS had shipped a submission to me (with the information stating that the submission had been sent from PCGS to the postal service; and with a postal service tracking #). My understanding is that submissions sent out from PCGS are routed to Anaheim and once they arrives at Anaheim they are then forwarded on.
For prior submissions of mine they have gone from PCGS to Anaheim, then to San Francisco, then to my local post office, then to the postal carrier who delivers same to my mail box. These steps can be seen by clicking the tracking #. This process in the past has taken at least 3-4 days.
For my current submission that I learned on last Friday morning had been shipped from PCGS, at about 11:00 p.m. last Friday night my "Order Details" information changed and showed that my submission had been "Delivered". The tracking number was no longer present (thus I could not click same and see postal service information about the route my submission had taken).
Something is not right.
There is no way that a submission that left PCGS last Friday morning in "The OC" would be "Delivered" to my mail box 400+ miles away by 11:00 p.m. that evening.
My submission was not delivered to my mail box on on Saturday, 1-21-2023.
However, I just checked today's mail and the package has been delivered (newly graded coins to play with; including a 1955 PF68CAM nickel; and some toned 1953-1960 proof cents, dimes and quarters).

The USPS (along with many other agencies & corporations) has conveniently used COVID as an excuse to severely reduce their level of customer service..... that's my take on it anyhow. I don't think it applies to all post offices or all employees, but enough that stuff like this is now commonplace.
Because the coins were of such superior quality they were eager to get back to you quickly.
I had a similar scenario just recently. The PCGS 'order status' went from quality check to shipped to delivered on the same day (a Friday). No tracking number. And, of course, no delivery on that Friday.
The coins (21 in this submission) arrived Monday (< 72 hours later) by FedEx.
Curious, and atypical versus my prior experiences, but I'm pleased with how fast the coins arrived here after the PCGS order status went to shipped.

Well... from worrisome to relief.... Glad the coins showed up. Let us know how they look in their new 'suits'. Cheers, RickO
Sounds like some qc issues at the pcgs shipping department as well as some not unexpected tracking glitches. Usps tracking has been finicky the last couple weeks for me.

USPS has indicated multiple items delivered to me recently when they were not. I always received them in the next day or two. Something at USPS is a bit wonky. On another note, I received 3 submissions back from pcgs in the last month and all came through FedEx.
Glad your coins showed up. A few years ago I would purchase some coins off of the boards from a member who was San Francisco area based and sometimes they would be delivered the next day via Priority Mail. I live right by a major airport so that might have contributed to it. I did drop a Priority Mail package off yesterday to go to our hosts and as of tonight the tracking still has not been updated so I am sweating it a bit! Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good/

I also had the same problem. I think there is a bug in the PCGS system.
Somebody changed the code without testing it.
