CAC reconsideration for gold cac?

Can you send a green bean coin back to cac for reconsideration? Anybody have any stories. Thanks

You can. But beware you will pay the fee regardless of if it upgrades or not.
I sent in 22 coins. 20 CAC, 2 not, for reconsideration.
One of the two non-CAC upgraded to green CAC. That was an 1881-S in 64DMPL.
One of the 20 CAC upgraded to gold CAC. That was a 1955 DDO in AU55.
Both were rattlers.

I have previously posted right here my getting my purchase of the 1916-D dime in PCGS G-04 at Boston ANA in 2010 upgraded from received green sticker to gold sticker. Actually a funny story too.
If you need me to re -post it I will.
Seems to be scarce, but obviously, with due consideration, a possibility. Adds to the expense though... so be sure it is worth it. Cheers, RickO
