PBCC Local Show report with a NEWP

I was laying in bed around 11am, I got to sleep late last night. As I pondered how I would spend my time today, I remembered that the Palm Beach Coin Club local show was today. I loaded some cash out of the safe and took a 10 minute drive to the Polish Club. Parking lot was pretty full, just like it was at the last show in November. Saw a few familiar faces from FUN, but the available inventory was lacking, as I was looking for CAC Gold. Most tables had very common material, lots of Morgans in pci holders, raw CBH’s, raw currency, etc. Very few tables had any CAC coins at all. I was looking at one fairly well priced capped $5 in P61 but I wasn’t prepared to spend that much today. I was only there for about a half hour and I was getting ready to leave the show when I saw a vest pocket dealer offering a few coins to some of the tables, one was a 1855-s $20 xf40 Gold CAC ogh. The price was very reasonable for what gold CACs have been bringing, so after some minor negotiation I walked out with it. This is one of those situations where I paid up for holder instead of the coin (oops 😅), but it was a very reasonable price for a neat coin and I’m confident I have little to no downside if I decide to part with it down the line.
