How to tell Mint State from Proof State on early 1910's gold.

I have five early 2.5 dollar Indians that look impressively nice. When I look at MS and PR graded coins, It's hard to tell.
If I send in for grading, will PCGS change the MS to proof if I'm wrong?

Yes they will. Do you have pictures of the coins.

The BLP quarter eagle proofs are each five-figure coins, and sometimes well into the five-figures depending upon how "impressively nice" they are. Where did you obtain them that you think they could be PR?

@headsplitter2... It would be nice to see pictures of your gold coins. That way we could give opinions on condition. Cheers, RickO
If you’re asking, the chances of the coins being Proofs are close to 0%. Posting pictures will likely get you the answer, however.

Not proofs. May not even be real. This series has been heavily counterfeited. Can we get pics of the reverses?

What makes you think they could be proofs?
By the way, you said they look "impressively nice" but they aren't even UNC - unless the photos are really misleading.
To me they look nice. To each his own!
