What the heck, you never know...
The way this forum rolls, we might see some great ones, or none at all.

Here's my latest, just in today and a tough type to find...

    Care to share?
What are some of the pick up points that indicate a period carving?

I was wondering about the wear on the host here...looks like the carving was done on a slick, rather than worn down afterwards...(pocket potty dollar).

Love to hear from any and all who can relate some history or expertise about these..

It's really strange what passed for humor in the late 1800's. :D

Lol it looks period meaning it looks like it came out of the toilet. One pick up point would be all the debris on the reverse.

When going to coin shows in the PNW when I lived there, you could always spot the table with a potty dollar on display. There would be a crowd around it throughout the show. They used to attract a lot of attention, and maybe some sales for the dealer as well. It was not always the same dealer... Cheers, RickO

I seriously did not know that those were a thing and thought this was a humor thread :D
    Please accept my deepest condolences.
