Interesting that 42190670 is a graded reverse proof nickel
42190671 thru 73 are not in the database
42190674 thru 84 are grade "88 Gem Proof" nickels of the reverse proof variety
42190685 thru 99 are not in the database

The cert was removed; apparently an "error" somewhere. My contact noted the label over the PCGS number on the image covered as I did...
From the cert numbers it would appear that these W quarters were sent in with a large batch of Reverse Proof nickels. The Reverse Proof Nickels were assigned Gem Proof with code 88. These quarters ended up with the same grade designator. From the missing cert numbers, see my post above, I'm guessing there are at least half dozen of these out there.
Code 88, although not listed on the PCGS site, must be the designator for ungraded but encapsulated proof coins.

It appears it is getting tough in the QC loop; images from friends in several of my groups:

But it did. The PCGS database even confirmed it existed. But... what is it???
Here are the 2 slabs side by side:

Wow. Finally something that makes “Vault Box” look like a good investment.
