Looks like a security gap at the convention. Big loss.

Sad news although the comments following the story are telling.

I'm missing something. What comments do you find telling?

The ones making a joke about this loss and then those who are claiming it is insurance fraud (without an ounce of proof).

What a bummer. At the FUN show I had a long conversation with Chris Kahler about show security and related shenanigans. I was just asking him if things like this happened with any frequency and he was telling me old stories like this. One story was a dealer who had a lot of high value items in his truck and had left a show and driven hours away over state lines, he had stayed the night in a hotel or something and came out to find his truck windows smashed and coins stolen, someone had followed him the entire way.

The "left early" in quotations implies the dealer walked away from his stuff while the show was still going on.

    Proof? Who needs proof?

We had a dealer do that at a local show. It was his 2nd reported theft in the year.
