Not yet, but it would be nice to have a year without them. It's been since 1985 that we've gone a year without anything extra.

Your wish has been granted... there are no commemoratives scheduled for 2023.

There should be a commemorative (coin or medal) for the Norse American Bicentennial in 2025.

Still plenty of time for 2025.... Likely something will drop later this year, or in 2024. Cheers, RickO

Mintage of "0" - that's one I can get on board with. :)

There a some worthwhile events and anniversaries, of course, but I feel like coin collectors have been used as sort of a cash cow for many years.

I agree. Hoping the mint uses the hiatus and works on some designing as they have been steadily going down hill the past few years.

This is actually amazing planning when you think about it. In 2125 there will be a TON of coins commemorating the centennial of that time the US didn't strike any commemoratives. This is called playing the long game.

Good. Give me some time to catch up on my modern half dollar registry set! I only need two more coins, but they are doozies. 1989 Congress and 1994 World Cup in MS70
