after seeing this eagle on a pattern, i just knew i'd have to do something with it.
not sure this is the final iteration but is a good step in the right direction i'd say.
takes a few steps and the hardest was manually doing the eagle since i don't have photoshop and probably one of the few times i'd be better off with it.
mah, a lil brute force'll get it done too. took a few iterations of backgrounds til i landed on the flag. black was better than white but the flag beat them both out.
i was trying to make the flag a bit more opaque but it wasn't quite working out as planned and bedtime is near.

That is a great picture.... No need to tinker more... Repost this on Memorial Day and July Fourth. Cheers, RickO
I wasn’t working on it, but I just did this with Pixelcut app in about 10 minutes

Out of all of those, these are the only 2 I really like

Would you like some creative criticism?
neat!
those are the 2 i gravitated towards as well.
smart to choose a coin image with start contrast of devices and the field as it allows for the background removal option. i chose probably the WORST example for that since it is all the same color. i'm sure there are some methods for such instances but i don't do this often enough to learn the process.
i did look up photoshop again to see how much it is and it looks like $100-150 which seems reasonable. older versions are probably much less.
that is pretty darn good results from a phone app too!
i manually cropped the eagle in the OP in the basic ms paint!!! that is the brute-force method and only so good but i did drop it into paint.net to get the png version and to crop out some small stuff.
Yes, proofs with cameo contrast are the easiest to cut out automatically. Too much fun for so little effort though. I end up making numerous clones with slight tweaks and end up making Warholesque collages

when I’m bored, usually never satisfied with any individual one 🤔

This is one I made fairly recently where I attempted to copy the classic style of @coinsarefun . I thought it came out well and I think it would make a great Avatar

But this one I just made satisfies my OCD better and I think it would make a good Avatar too. The background is some tiling on a wall that I was attracted to on a walk this morning around the neighborhood

I like them all. Here's a piece.

These are some cool digital art pieces. I got my photoshop experience from spending a year toying around with self-portrait photos once a week every week. Turned out a few fun projects that way.

i'd use it but i think in order for me to switch my avatar from daenarys, it'd be over my cold.......
while i haven't been tinkering with it, i've been tinkering with the idea of using but then i'd have to kick my own butt.
