69 Lincoln penny

I found this in a roll of coins I got from the bank today. 1969 D Lincoln penny. It's in pretty good shape to

be over 50 years old.

Yep, every once in a while a nice old one will come out of the woodwork. Likely someone cashed in an old roll or something.

There are many, many older cents in jars and cans just waiting for the heirs to quickly dump them when the original owner passes away.

Yep. It’s pretty fun when these coins from yesteryear show up uncirculated!

Good thing this old guy, that was a wild teen when this was minted, still has enough wherewithal to catch that little typo before it went out!

Again: photo skills - make sure the coin is FLAT to the camera. Notice how the part tilting away is out of focus? The C of ONE CENT is almost in focus. E Pluribus Unum is a blur.
