Odd 1999 Deleware Quarter

Hi, I came across this 1999 P Deleware State Quarter and it weighs in at 5.5g. I know standard is 5.67 and I have came across a lot that were slightly off but never this much and generally they are heavily worn but this one is not and it seems to be slightly thicker than most quarters ive compared it to. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. The Quarter also has the "spitting horse" die Crack as well, just can't figure out the weight. Thanks in advance

.16 grams is within weight tolerance of the Mint's manufacturing process. If it was half a gram off or more then I would say that you have something.

Don't waste your time weighing coins. If someone is willing to pay for the "spitting horse" take the money and run!

    All glory is fleeting.
  • Thanks for the input, I am going to see if I can't get $5 or $10 out of it. Had to check to be sure Just in case.

@Zkha9136 .... Welcome aboard. No numismatic issue with the weight. Good luck with your sale. Cheers, RickO
