    I mostly do stuff with dimes but geez, if something needs to be magnified that large, what are we even doing? Also, the subject of this thread references 1973S, the date does not seem to reference a 3 in that first photo...don't know about the second.

    Looks like die chips to me.... and that first cent does not look like a 1973, as mentioned above. Cheers, RickO
