I'm going to upgrade at least 7 coins in my Roosevelt 46-64 PDS set. Not always an easy feat. They are all graded 67 thru 68. Also I want coins that have nice eye appeal aka nice toners or just sharp blast white coins. I've seen many 67 and higher graded coins that won't pass muster for my set. It may not be in the very top sets, but it is better looking than most of the ones that are.

No goals for 2023.... I do not do New Year resolutions or goals. If it is worth doing/achieving, I simply set out to do it when I think of it. Cheers, RickO
I simply want to continue to focus on the five different type sets I am building and more than anything I want to continue to learn more about the hobby. Lots of good people here willing to help.
Happy New Year collectors!
If the price is right, continue to stack hand picked 90% "junk" silver.
Buy "cheap" common date, nice for the grade, silver dollars. Both certified and raw.
To attend more than just the FUN shows
To finish seated dollar set.
I'm gonna work on half cents then some seated stuff that I'd like to get
Waiting patiently Daniel Carr's 1st product drop of 2023.
I never know what's going to happen till they launch.
The Whitman coin show in Baltimore is a good one. Not as big as the FUN show but worth the trip if you haven't been to Washington D.C. yet.
The first one each year is usually the best one.😎
Not spending as much as I did in 2022. British coins and a few others were available so I didn't pass them up. I also started a new series I didn't think I would and completed it as far as possible for me. Still have some coins I'm looking for but if there's no surprises spending should be way down.
Keep working on my Morgan Dollar one per date set and my Seated Dollar box of 20.
BOTH are LONG term projects.
Adding VERY casually with NO urgency.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I worked yesterday.
I am working today.
Trying to get ahead.
2023 will be a great year.
Research, learn, reference, study more coins, participate here, network, and enjoy every minute. Have a good day. Peace Roy

I don't know. There are 20 things still on my watch/want list. I'm going to keep looking and keep learning and not hurry anything while staying open to whatever opportunities come along.
My main goal is to continue to work on my three U.S. Type sets with maybe a little more focus on finishing the "Basic U.S. Coin Design Set (1792-present)" I only need five more coins to complete that set.
Happy collecting to everyone for 2023.

Sell some coins to buy paper currency instead.
Some very interesting replies,
I plan on continuing my early half and large cent education and buy less but higher quality, slightly higher at first.

Buy 2-3 coins and continue to build up my collection slowly. Rather get 2-3 coins that make me very happy that a whole bunch that don't. Slow and steady like previous years.
So far this attitude has worked out well for me over the years. One thing I do know is there will be no major purchases for me in 2023 just regular coins I need for my sets. Maybe 2024 will be able to add a major pick up (for me anything over 2500$ is considered ''major'') will see then.
NFL: Buffalo Bills & Green Bay Packers
Need to sell to buy again because am so scattered with my collections and high time I started to focus on just a few.

In a word... BUDGET. I'm six coins out from completing my Type Set and just need to remain disciplined over the next year or two to complete.

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
Live long enough to see my coins in 2024. 😉

1907-S $10 Liberty PCGS MS63 for my 1907 Mint Set; been looking for years for a nice example, tougher than I thought.

I did quite a lot of consolidating in 2022. I traded up. This year I don't have much left for trade material. So I will be "spending" much less.
Having said that, I am still hovering somewhere between "sell it all and start over" and "stay the path!"

Get a nice EF+ Pine Tree shilling.
3) I need to stop myself from buying US Mint products with the exception of maybe the Moran/Peace reverse proof set

Slow down purchases. I went crazy in 2022.
