New purchase, 1853 half cent

It's headed for the Dansco 7070. Aside from the obvious flaws that weren't readily apparent when I bought it, I'd say AU details?
US Navy CWO3 retired. 12/81-09/04

Very close to Unc details.
Great color and strike, too bad someone damaged it. Of course at the time that occurred it likely had little value.
Nice old half cent.... I would say AU details is likely accurate..... Cheers, RickO
Strong AU details... too bad about the rim damage and scratches, but as Walkerguy21D said... good color and excellent strike.

it would be nice to have a big type set with coins like this as you get a LOT of bang for your buck. a nice way to enjoy usa classic coinage hopefully at a heavily discounted premium.
