On the date, some nice MD. The Y doubling I can't explain. Cool nonetheless.

ya, that last 9 makes ya hope!!!
the thing with the Y is most likely just a scratch or artifact on the surface. SOMETIMES, it is a little extra metal scraped off the nearest device aka pmd.
That being a 1919, I assume you checked the motto for being doubled. Cheers, RickO
