Looking for any kind of info on this 1964 Nickel.
It appears to be glue residue on the reverse of the coin, but it might simply be angry pumpkin face-
There is noting overly special about your coin, looks to have some type of glue or solder on the rev. The coin was struck from well worn dies and between the worn dies and time in circulation the details like the lettering are mushy.
Looks like the coin has been heated and someone melted something on to it. Maybe solder or something?

Just another coin play thing for some bored individual to "spice and dice".

Looks as if it were soldered to be a decoration such as a cufflink or tie tack... Cheers, RickO
Thank you all I'll go with angry pumpkin face lol. Happy New Year
I almost called it a "Plugged Nickel".
