    Looks nothing like a true doubled die.

    Good eye but NO, just MD or a case of Die Deterioration.

    This one fools everyone when they start out. It doesn't help that 1969 was a banner year for mechanical doubling, either. When I was a kid, I thought I hit the jackpot, too.
    Sadly, this is just common, shelf like doubling which carries no premium at all.

    This is mine :) It's the second finest known and may be the better strike. I bought it from Lloyd Mincy after it was discovered. I'll be interested to see what Stewart's sells for coming up :) We compared them in person several times.
