New (to me) PayPal Scam

I just logged into PayPal today for the first time in a while.
Someone in Pakistan had requested $500 from me, which clearly was fraudulent. This by itself isn't a problem because I could just ignore it. But the person included a note which was designed to look like an official PayPal message, but after some thought, I realized it was just part of the scam.
Here is the offending transaction:
So some unsuspecting person will call that number and be talking to the scammers, who will undoubtedly request personal information. And the caller, thinking it was really PayPal, will probably give it to them.
Kinda ingenious actually. I hope no one falls for it, but the scammers will undoubtedly make money.

i still get myriad scams in my emails for my PP account. thankfully they are all just useless unless we follow the carrot.
I am thinking to close my paypal account. Paypal is just no good. They don't refund fee for return which will upset the buyer.
I have had about 3 dozen I-phones charged to my PayPal account recently and if I don't click on a link to report I didn't order them they will ship soon,,,,,,,, none have arrived,,,,,, none charged to my bank account either.
I get the same scam with software allegedly from companies I have done business with in the past. I don't ever click on a link or call back. Just check credit cards and bank accounts every day for a few days. So far no charges.
You must have a big family to need all those phones.
I get the scam emails all the time... Usually three to five a day. My delete key gets lots of exercise. Cheers, RickO
I got a version from folks poising as geek squad “some services I supposedly ordered last year and $99 was being changed to reenlist. Was told “ pending “ “inevitable “ “24 hours only “” hurry “.
Did nothing as I was too busy laughing about how they would charge my bank, with out the routing number or account number 😂😂😂😂
