Out of Print and Obscure Coin Books ....Post your dups or ISO here...
So many times I have gotten requests for some great coin books that are just really hard to find... yet I know some of us downsize and look to get rid of books, or perhaps have 2 copies, or just dont need it anymore.... so I thought I would start a thread here for people looking for books or having books they no longer want... and even if you dont want need one.... feel free to add your most interesting read on this post!
I"ll start...

Hey! This is a good idea by Scarsdale. Only have one duplicate here, and aim to donate it locally... Bowers' "Adventures with Rare Coins."
WTB So Called Dollars, Hibler and Kappen, most recent edition (2008 I believe).
Thanks.
Was looking to own a copy but maybe will try a borrow. Thanks
I'm in Tennessee and will not be back until the 23rd. I think I have a 2008 leatherbound SCD by HK. If you've not found one and are still interested then let me know and I'll check.
Jim
Edited to add, it may be newer than 2008. I'm not sure.

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.....Mark Twain
Great. I'm not sure if the 2008 is the last edition or there is one later. If the one you have is a later addition, that's even better. Please let me know what you want for the book when you get back. I'm in California. if Someone else chimes in before you get back, I'll let you know.
Thanks again,
Bill
I have several old books on coins that I have picked up over the years. I believe I even have Rose's book on chop marks. I do not think I have duplicates, but will watch this thread for books being sought in case I have something that someone really needs. Cheers, RickO
There are 3 books I have that would not be replacable:
Early United States Dimes 1796-1837 - Davis et al.
Federal Half Dimes 1792-1837, Logan & McCloskey
Numismatic Photography, Goodman
Not dupes though of the first 2 that run over $200 each when coming up for sale now which is extremely rare. Numi Photog is running ≥$177 on used book sites. I have first and 2nd editions and go back to both all of the time.
Best, SH
Monographs on Varieties of United States Large Cents 1795-1803, Denis W. Loring. Copyright 1976. This book contains 3 reprints of works on Large Cents by George H. Clapp and Howard Newcomb published originally in 1925, 1931 and 1947 with the forward by Loring. I picked it up for $12 on Ebay. Nice copy with original dustcover.
Have you tried contacting the author?
His 2019 dead website https://ctcoins.net/ Has a phone number.
His ebay store https://ebay.com/str/ctcoinscollectibles
Did you get a chance to see if you have it? Thanks, Bill
So sorry, I felt sure I have it, but haven't found it as of yet. I didn't want to mess it up, so it is probably in the back of the safe. I will let you know by tomorrow.
