1884 MS68 $13,063.50 w/juice

NGC holdered Liberty Nickel at Great Collections. Note: I have no connection whatsoever to this coin. greatcollections.com/1884-Liberty-Nickel-NGC-MS-68-Toned
PCGS has never graded a Liberty NIckel this high. NGC shows one other piece at 68, a 1901. An 1884 in PCGS MS67+ sold by Legend brought $19,975. legendauctions/5c-1884-pcgs-ms67-/
Should be fun to watch.

That is indeed a real beauty.... going to go for a lot of $$$$$. I do not see the mentioned tarnish, must be the lighting.... Cheers, RickO
As previously mentioned, last year an MS67+ sold for $19,975, but it was a beauty(shown below) whereas this one somewhat plainer, I guess it will sell according to current buyer's wants n needs, but I would GUESS this years 68 will underperform lasty years 67+. JMO Comparison photo below.

$13,063.50 w/juice. Seems the buyer got a pretty good deal here.

Does the NGC coin look a little hazy, like it was puddied? I’m looking at the area in front of Liberty’s mouth, and beneath the word Pluribus. Why is the area around the star in front of her chin dark, and there is no other area similar to this coloration anywhere on the coin?
Pcgs brings all the money once again.
