Hopefully an Anacs MS-67 FB 1939-D Dime

    Trade $'s
  • They say it is a 1939 D ANACS MS67 FB, but they also say the coin in the picture is the exact coin you will receive... :D

    A 1939-P (no MM) dime.

"“Those who sacrifice liberty for security/safety deserve neither.“(Benjamin Franklin)

"I only golf on days that end in 'Y'" (DE59)

    Exactly!
Also, in checking other auctions- even the other Mercury dimes- the description is "ungraded" or left blank.
Now, if this one shows up, graded, excellent.
If not, I still have a place for it in a Dansco set.

Just a fun adventure either way.

    the raw coin pictured

they used the 'sell one like this' feature but forgot to take out what the previous seller had

FWIW, there may be a reason the seller does not accept returns. But it's only $25, so you get some entertainment value out of it either way!

Probably, the coin pictured. They copied an old listing when creating a new one for this coin and didn't update the item specifics.

This was the listing copied would be my guess:

Probably. It's very common. I do it myself and sometimes forget to change one of the 3000 "Item Specifics" fields.

Interesting, no picture of the ANACS slab. If it is slabbed, good buy,

I have informed a dozen sellers, most likely many more, that their photos did not match the listing description or similar listing error. Have each and every time been thanked and listing corrected. I think that it is highly likely to be an oversight. Do you think the coin photo is the one you will get? If so, do you think it would grade as FB? Best luck.
