Super short show report Kent Washington show today!

An interesting experience today…set up 2 tables at “Bob’s “ show ( if ya know ya know) today in Kent… as soon as the doors opened we all were inundated with collectors buying type coins and set coins…no real buyers after high end coins, but type set and series collectors buying 10 to 150 dollar coins voraciously! Doors opened at 10 and i finally begged someone i knew to watch my table at 2 pm so i could relieve myself! Not a record setter by any means but so encouraging to see so many collectors and SO MANY kids/young numismatists enjoying the hobby!
A side note, i did not have much pre 33 gold but those who did sold out quickly…witnessed 4 MS63 St Gaudens PCGSor NGC graded sell at 2150 each!
My takeaway was folks are collecting! And also trading paper for gold/silver…junk silver sold very well also…

I always enjoyed the Kent show when I lived in Seattle and Renton. That sounds like a great show and the first I have heard (recently) of gold and silver in high demand. Thanks for the report. Cheers, RickO
Good to hear. Most of us started with those $10 to $150 coins. Some of those people will be the big money spenders later on down the road.

Encouraging news!
I had a similar experience last night selling online.
Posted a bunch of coins for sale and was only expecting a couple coins to sell. Ended up selling 65+% of everything within an hour.
Interesting - thanks for the update!
Thanks for the report.
The numbers of collectors have been sky rocketing for years. Something might start drawing them to coin shows. Perhaps it's a desire to actually see the coins or a growing belief that coins are no more expensive to buy at shows.
