Edith Kanaka'ole Quarter design thoughts

The coming Edith Kanaka'ole quarter in 2023 has the denomination inscribed as '25c' as opposed to 'quarter dollar'. This is the first I can find this since the early 1800s, with the capped bust quarter. I thought that was interesting.

Honestly, I think it's weird - the design, that is, not the 25¢.
Why can't we just slap an eagle on there and call it good for a few decades?

Well that one is different... had not seen the coming designs yet. I wonder how that one will strike up.... That intricate detail will not look so good on the coin - IMO. Cheers, RickO
Fascinating
I just looked at the 5 designs and this is the only one with 25c. Quarter dollar on the others. The Roosevelt is what appears to be a portrait and empty fields.
I guess that like the design or not the S mint mark from the 3-roll sets is about to become more of a rare issue, so to speak. As long as the 7600 ish mintage remains.
I like the design. Looks like several views of the islands I fondly recall. 😀

thanks. i wondered what it would actually look like as a coin.
.
i wonder if all/most hawaiian coinage has the digits in lieu of the words?
seems unlikely the first time would be on a hawaii or alaska coin w/o some larger meaning.
