Wayte Raymond album. Working on making a nice type set

Mostly going to be nice Unc coins. For obvious reasons some spaces will never be filled and many will be low grade coins.

Thanks. I have an Unc Half Dime not the DISME , but its slabbed. I have a few other raw coins I have to locate for the album. A nice IHC and a very nice Walker.

@2windy2fish Many aren't i n the respective slots and there is no spot for an SBA. The 32 S Washington isn't even in its right place.

Congrats, great luck with the future of your album. Lots of fun to be had. I have many wayte raymond albums, large cents, half cents, lincoln cents, indian head cents and some I can't remember. Love them. I lack about 1/3 of the Indian Head Cents to complete, 1 of the Lincolns(guess), 3 of the large cents 1793-1807, 1 of the draped bust half cents, of course the hard ones are last, if at all.

I'm guessing 1909 SVDB is missing

Sadly, the sulphur that long ago created fantastic toning in these pages has I'm sure broken down. I have a few of these pages that I've accumulated through the years. I always wondered if soaking them in a sulphur water solution for a few seconds might rejuvenate the magic. With my luck everything would be black within a week but it sure would be fun to mess with Ricko.

Looks like you're off to a good start but what's the point of putting coins in the wrong slots? It's confusing and makes no sense.

@OAKSTAR I can rearrange later if I ever get the right coins for the slots. Mostly just wanted them in the album.

I considered doing one of these albums years ago... but I had done a couple of series and just was not up to the size of that project. Nice beginning.... Keep us posted as you add and modify... Cheers, RickO

I thought the same thing. Not a Wayte Raymond album but a Dansco 7070 (no gold). For years, I thought a type set like that was totally out of reach for me. One day I sat down with paper and pencil, looked through my existing collection and put a virtual type set together just to see what I had. I actually had 3/4 of the set completed. Not the best coins, plus I would have had to break up some other sets. But I actually had the coins needed for the type set.

@OAKSTAR ... I had thoughts like that ten or fifteen years ago.... but here I am... and still going strong. Cheers, RickO
