Heads up, Chris. BBCE will have a 5 cent 1959 Wax Pack PSA-7 (recently graded, 8xxxxxxx) in its upcoming late March Auction, if interested. I received an e-mail notification today...
Wow, I bet you would have kept that sealed with Banks on back!

I've admired 1955 Bowman Baseball Cards since I was 12 years old in 1982. I opened a pack a couple months ago.
Going into it I new they were notorious for gum stains. The pack I had was clean as a whistle and I thought perhaps it could be stain free inside. I was wrong.
However, for me, this opening was exciting and still "Mission Accomplished" as I landed a HOF'er.
Can anyone guess the HOF'er landed??.......
no notation of Banks on on slab either - bet that kept price down!
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
When viewed horizontally, 50/50 centering is when the wood grain border width at the top equals the wood grain border width at the bottom up to the Color TV nameplate. That's how I measure the one 1955 Bowman card I have.

So for the 8 cards above which is the best centered card from top to bottom?
Awesome pull. Will it be possible to get the gum off of Wertz? Looks like a bit of residue on the bottom edge of Banks as well. Or is that a print issue?
The basement Bar - top will be a thick slab of Walnut.
Very nice. I have flooring that looks nearly identical to that in look/size/color my bar/pool table area in my basement.
My bar area is great but very narrow & completely different than what you have going on.
Would love to see the final product. I have many questions like:
1) how many fridges or ice makers or keg-o-rators?
2) thick glass shelving with or without mirrors for storing liquor?
3) I would have expected a bar top with the ability to put your PSA slabs gems from your pack breaks instead of solid walnut - LOL
4) What's the cut-out door lead to in the middle of the pic & why is there a wood inset?
waste a card on an umpire. just my opinion a more deserving common player could have been printed.
Umpires used to be respected and a part of baseball lore. It would be interesting to see if MLB implements the robot-umps someday, will cards be made for the machines which call balls and strikes?
Always in the market for game used kinesiology tape and smelly socks.

I'm going to guess Yogi or Campy

BTW...beautiful '55B pack!

@UFFDAH
I’m going with a guess of Hank Aaron

I'll go with the HOF I pulled in a gum stained 55B pack... Jocko Conlan, but I sincerely hope you fare better.
Bosox1976
Since you appear to be a very lucky guy I'm going with Mantle or Mays.
Eddie Mathews.

Will go with Al Kaline. Have the ‘55 Bowman HOF run and love this set.
Does the winner who guesses the correct HOF'er get the card?
Keep guessing, no one is right yet.
How about a home town Phillie?
Ashburn or Roberts?

I'll go with Bob Feller.
Yogi Berra
I hope it's Kell or Schoendienst. Minnie would be cool too.
Eddie Mathews
Ernie Banks
Will share more pics tomorrow. Nestled into a movie now.
Hey Monte - PM me your mailing address and I'll mail ya this winner.
I never even thought to press the back of the pack, although not sure if it would have mattered because the mission was already set.
Wow, I bet you would have kept that sealed with Banks on back!

That Dorsett 8 is easily as nice as my Dorsett 9.
Very cool pull
He looks like a kid for sure in that photo.
Great looking card congrats!!!
NFL: Buffalo Bills & Green Bay Packers
Awesome. Love that Banks card. Colors pop. The Banks, Aaron and Mays images from ‘55 Bowman are my favorites of all their cards.
Here is my pack pulled Banks. Searched for this card after this break and bought it straight from the winner.
Weird how Banks and Vic W are different colors
Thanks again for sharing, John
Current obsession, all things Topps 1969 - 1972
First 64 cards are a lighter shade of wood.
Must of used pine instead of maple.
What's considered good centering from top to bottom for this year? I never had a 55 Bowman,

Eyeballing it...I would say the Dorish or Miller appear to be centered the best top-to-bottom. Side-to-side centering is the best on the Wertz...
Got it. Thank you Mintonlypls.

Interesting how the color of the wood border is different on the Wertz. I like the dark wood…
Like Cottonwood versus Walnut...

Nice, Chris! Break room?

Cool woodies. Love the Bauer photo. He looks very serious.
