Fred McGriff elected to Baseball HOF

It was a unanimous vote. All 16 members on the contemporary committee voted for him. Mattingly got 8 votes, Curt Schilling 7 votes, and Dale Murphy 6 votes just to highlight how the election was decided.

    Its good that one got voted in. Too many guys getting in at one time makes it less special. McGriff is deserving. Next time, Mattingly or Schilling can make it.

    On top of being a phenomenal player, I can't recall ever hearing a bad thing about him as a person. Seems like he is a classy guy on top of things. Nice to see good things happen for him.

    That's a nice point to highlight. I think one can say the same about Dale Murphy and Don Mattingly too, who both finished in the top four of voting.
