Die Deterioration Doubling?

Was stumped for a moment.
Looked this one up to see no known DDOs.
The "LIBERTY" going from thin to thick is what immediately got my attention bare eyed.
I was losing my light so took a bunch of shots...

i'm leaning towards not, especially since TY has some trail dies or die erosion on the bottom there.
not a bad idea to look at other years of coins with similar designs to see if any are known period in spots you are looking at.
looks like a die deterioration starburst effect around that area, above and below. fwiw
the thickness doubling with no split serifs can be a tough animal to get in the cage.

It would be good to see comparative pictures with other 2006D nickels....and similar wear states. Cheers, RickO
