1820/19 Curl Base Bust half

I was looking at the reverse on this, suspicious raised metal dots at the top of the coin. But this is not a commonly counterfeited Bust.

those are called dentils silly.
ok, seriously. are these what you're talking about?
No, the bubbles in the metal on the reverse up near the rim above the "F" in OF.
Could the bubbles be die rust?
That coin may have been in a fire. I think it's genuine.
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
Those look like die rust artifacts.... Cheers, RickO
Looks like post mint damage i agree
since bust halves are VERY well known for "trail dies/die deterioration" leading to metal having a stretched appearance from the legend to the rim, is it possible to get either close-ups of the area (if you have it in-hand) or just upload the original image, not cropped or reduced in size/dimensions?
i am really leaning towards just a bust half artifact but w/o clearer/larger pics, i can't be certain.
