    @OAKSTAR
    The last one looks worse than the previous 2 - right? I remember when Butch gave me info on getting AG03 for 300$. I still kick my self for not doing that!

    The first one looks like the winner for me. The reverse has a pretty big hit which may account for the grade...but Mercs. aren't my specialty.

    I see the first one getting a G-4 while the other two I believe are good as AG-3.

    My PCGS-graded 1916-D Mercury dime looks, to my eye, marginally better than the first one. Principally, "LIBERTY," "WE," and the date, on mine, are not merging with the rim.

    The 3rd merc shown is a FR02 grade. Definitely not AG03

    I think the first is at least a 3-1/2 and is superior!

    Hard to tell just from the obverses.

    Your initial statement is accurate in both respects..... Under/over.... Cheers, RickO

    The mark/dig/scratch by the "O" of ONE on the 1st one looks like a rifle. :D

    All three look correctly graded when considering both sides.

    All three have letter bleed into the rims.

    The third example listed however is a low-end 3 and wouldn’t look crazy in a 2 slab.

    I just got a discounted offer from one of these after just looking. The coin was not saved to my watch list. Has eBay been doing this long?

    Couple of years. I send offers all the time. It sometimes knocks sometime off the fence. More often it seems to just encourage people to make low ball offers.
