So many thumbs down for many shippers, I wanted to thank USPS for their latest update to their mail handling app. I've had this app for years, ever since it began. It tells me daily what mail has arrived today and what packages are coming today or tomorrow. Cool, yes? Well now it shows outgoing mail, so a package I shipped Friday is in Miami and will be delivered tomorrow. I shipped two so not sure why the other isn't listed, but hey still pretty cool feature. Thanks USPS!

Yes. I love the email notification. It's not that I have anything that important coming or going most of the time, and it isn't perfect, but it is nice to have the notifications for those times when it is important.

The notification would be nice if it worked properly. I've gotten an email that a package had arrived but when I went to my PO box, nothing was there.

True, but the reason it happens at my P.O. is that our mail comes into a main post office in Beckley, WV where the photos are taken and the info sent that it has arrived, but then its sent to my P.O. which is usually the next day at latest and sometimes the same day.

I agree, USPS is the best shipping service. Every now and then, however, a package gets lost or significantly delayed. I am still waiting on one that was last scanned November 7 in Anaheim. It has not moved since. And, the auction house that sold the goods has very poor communication skills. I practically have to beg for a response. After I get these coins (or a refund), I will not be doing business with that auction house again.

I had a shipment of coins sit in Indianapolis last year for 24 days with no info. It was the most valuable group of coins I had ever sent to PCGS. I had Insurance but was a nervous wreck until they finally showed up. Whew! I have noticed a couple of post offices that sat my coins for a week or so. Scary.

No doubt there's a reason. The thing is- it doesn't help any to get an email saying I have a package when I don't. I think I forgot to mention in my previous post that I have received packages without ever getting an email notice. If the emails are not consistent and accurate, they're not real useful.

I've not had any problems with usps with tracking as long as I hand it to them over the counter and they scan it in. For high value items, registered is the way to go and the insurance will be much cheaper than normal, priority or ups/FedEx.

To whit I have the daily mail service (informed delivery). It also shows both incoming and outgoing... It doesn't always show all outgoing but it shows most.

Here’s one that’s hard to beat. Bought last year December. Arrived 3 days ago. Almost a year later and half way around the world, 👍🏼

I have used this USPS app since it became available. I like it, and it is quite dependable. Sometimes a package comes a day early or a day late... but always gets here. Cheers, RickO
