Cleaned? (Fixed)

I was about to send these two off to grading, and I thought they looked a little suspicious. Do you think they are cleaned? I would like your opinion very much. Thank you! (Does the CC have pvc damage?)

Is this a trick question?
Sorry I didn’t add photos, now it’s fixed.

The one on the right looks to have a pretty good rim ding at 11:00.
Would that count as damage?

They both looked cleaned to me, the first one has a lot of hairlines that appear like it was scrubbed. Second one looks similar, with an additional heavy rim ding. I could be wrong, but I think you’ll end up with two details holders.

It can. Depends on how severe the graders figure it to be.
Both harshly cleaned. Rim ding on the CC. Could be PVC on there. A soak in acetone will remove it if so.

To clarify: a soak in acetone would remove PVC. Rim dings and cleaning are irreversible.
You can soak the coin in acetone for PVC, as noted above, but the cleaning is obvious. Let us know if you send them in.... Cheers, RickO
Even though I won’t send those in, I am sending in a couple of MS CC’s and a non-us gold.

@Ownerofawheatiehorde.... Very good... Let us know how it goes... and make a note of what you think they will grade, as a test of your grading skills. Cheers, RickO
The 1893-O has been cleaned, but it is not that bad and somebody would probably like it for the right price.
The 1893-CC would probably grade if not for the rim ding. Maybe it would, even with the rim ding.
But graded or not, the ding still affects the price.
As with the 1893-O, somebody would be happy with the 1893-CC at the right price.
